FOR STUDENTS: ART EVENINGS

ART EVENINGS on Wednesday evening. Students as art outreach specialists

Four times per year on an Art Evening, students of art history greet other students and young persons at the Kunstmuseum Bonn in order to enter into dialogue with them and, with the help fo various methods of art outreach, to accompany them in a tour of the permanent collection as well as of the current temporary exhibitions. For everyone who likes to be entertained, surprised, involved and provided with knowledge.

Entrance is free for students. All other visitors are likewise welcome; for them, the standard museum admission fee applies.

ART EVENING—In Focus

This series of program events is directed exclusively to students and young adults. It offers a platform for getting to know the collection, the different working areas and the current exhibitions as well as for engaging in discussions about art.

Direction: Kathrin Michel M.A.

With generous support from the Verein der Freunde des Kunstmuseums Bonn e.V. as well as in collaboration with the Art Historical Institute of Bonn University.

WORKSHOPS

JOUR FIXE ON FRIDAY

Art offers inspiration, touches the heart and stimulates discussions. A walk through the collection presentation and temporary exhibitions awakens a desire to create art oneself. Waiting for you in the studio is an extensive selection of artistic materials which, under helpful supervision, will set your ideas soaring into realization. Previous knowledge is not required; simply trust your intuitions. Stop by and participate!

Fridays, 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
9 euros (including cost of material)

CAREGIVERS! PAINT

Caregiving relatives are invited to enjoy a creative break in the Kunstmuseum. Discover the wide range of colors, let your creativity run wild, and get to know the museum as a source of energy and as a place of acknowledgement and appreciation. During your visit to the workshop space, take pleasure in inspiring togetherness and self-regeneration during stimulating conversations about art and your own work.

The event is free of charge for caregivers.

ON THE TRAIL OF ART

Together we get underway on the trail of art, where we find the familiar and the unusual, the known and the strange, and then examine our impressions in this regard.

Events take place in the collection and exhibition rooms. Special dates also include experimental work in the workshop space.

2nd Tuesday in the month, 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
3 euros

In collaboration with the Gemeindepsychiatrie Bonn-Rhein-Sieg gGmbH

CAFÉ COLOR

In the framework of the program COLORS IN THE HEAD, the CAFÉ COLOR invites persons suffering from Alzheimer’s disease along with their relatives and caregivers to conversations about art and to studio work.

We begin with cake and coffee in the workspace prepared for you, where there is time for personal narration and conversational exchange. During our walk through the museum, we go together with you on a journey to art and to the colors, after which there is an opportunity for you to create your own picture.

You will share relaxing experiences. Let yourself be inspired and discover your creative power. Art will offer you the gifts of joy, a sense of well-being and new experiences. You can take your own works of art home with you.

1st Saturday in the month, 2:30 to 4:30 p.m.
12 euros per person, including coffee, water and cake
